Helicopter Transport and Training Sydney offers the best in Pilot training. Our helicopter rates are a complete package. You get a preflight briefing, postflight review and your landing fees all included in the hourly operated costs of a machine.
Basically this is up to you. If you are unsure about your commitment you can pay as you go. If you are planning on obtaining a Private Helicopter Licence you may want to buy your flight training hours in bulk. We have 10 and 20 hour packages that discount the hourly helicopter hire rate. If you are going for your commercial licence, you will no longer pay any GST. We do not charge for preflight and postflight briefings at HTT, its all part of the service.
What is the difference between a Private (PPL) and Commercial (CPL) Licences? Lets keep this simple. A Private Pilots Licence (Abbreviated PPL) entitles the holder to fly passengers on any aircraft the pilot is endorsed on within Australia. A Commercial Pilots Licence entitles the bearer to fly passengers for hire and reward on an Aircraft that the pilot is endorsed on anywhere within Australia. Thus can be employed to fly Helicopters.
You can get started by coming in for a Trial Introductory Flight (TIF). No previous aviation experience is necessary and you will get to fly the helicopter on your first lesson! This is a 35-minute flight plus briefing from one of our experienced instructors. A TIF will cost $300 incl. GST.
Fixed-wing pilots If you have a fixed-wing licence, the minimum requirement is reduced to 60 for a commercial licence holder enrolled in our special training course, and reduced to 70 for a private licence holder enrolled in our special training course. Overseas experience or previous training can be considered.
After achieving your goal You can private hire our R22, R44 and Bell Jetranger aircraft after meeting our requirements. Other endorsements are available.

No sausages! We are dedicated to helping you achieve your licence. Our daily bookings are limited so book early! We cannot produce high-quality training with large turnover, we are not a sausage factory! Tag-a-long trips. Once you have your licence you can join the many pilots who rent helicopters from us and fly to resorts and stations in the rural areas of Australia. We organise trips with three or four helicopters and fly together to unique locations.
